Phone system restored at West Haldimand General Hospital
We are pleased to share that the Code Grey at West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) has been lifted, and our phone system is now fully restored.
On Thursday, March 26, 2026, WHGH initiated a Code Grey due to a phone system interruption that limited incoming calls and prevented outgoing external calls. We thank our patients, families, and community for their patience and understanding during this time.
We also thank our I.T. team and technical partners for their work to restore service.
During our Code Grey, patient care remained our top priority. Our staff, physicians, and volunteers continued to provide exceptional care under challenging circumstances. We are grateful for their ongoing commitment to our patients and community.
It’s important to note that during the Code Grey, our Emergency Department remained open and fully operational, and all scheduled patient appointments continued as planned.
The public can reach the hospital using the main phone number: 905-768-3311.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
