(Hagersville) – West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) proudly recognizes Black History Month, dedicating February to celebrating the transformative contributions of Black Canadians and their communities.
Under the theme “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build”, WHGH reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment. As we reflect on the significant contributions of the Black community, WHGH acknowledges the ongoing systemic racism and oppression faced by its members, pledging to be guided by values of compassion and respect.
“Black history is not just for Black people – Black history is Canadian history,” said the Honourable Jean Augustine.
