Phone system outage at West Haldimand General Hospital
West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) is currently experiencing a phone system outage.
At this time, incoming calls to the hospital are limited, and our team is unable to make outgoing external calls.
On Thursday March 26, 2026, the hospital entered a Code Grey due to this interruption. A Code Grey refers to a disruption in information technology systems that affects some of the hospital’s clinical and administrative services.
Our I.T. team is working to restore the phone systems as quickly as possible.
The Emergency Department remains open and fully operational. Patients should continue to attend their scheduled appointments unless contacted by WHGH to reschedule.
We want to reassure our community that patients continue to receive safe, high-quality care. The safety of patients and clients remains our top priority.
Anyone requiring emergency health care should call 911 or go to the Emergency Department.
We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
