Parking at West Haldimand General Hospital

We want your visit to be as easy and stress-free as possible. Find helpful information about parking, accessible spaces, and payment options before you arrive.

Parking locations and daily tate

Where to park:

Visitor parking is available in the main lot and near the Emergency Department parking lot.

Daily Rate

• $4.80 per exit

Money collected from parking fees helps support patient care by funding hospital equipment and services.

Accessible Parking and Drop-Off

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are located near the main entrance and Emergency Department parking lot. These spaces are for vehicles displaying a valid Accessible Parking Permit.

Drop-Off Area

A short-term drop-off and pick-up zone is located at the main entrance.

You may stop here to help your loved one into the hospital, but please move your vehicle once they are safely inside.

If you need help getting someone to or from your car, please speak with a staff member or visit Patient Registration for assistance.

How to Pay

You can pay for parking in several easy ways:

• At the exit terminal – debit or credit card (no ticket required)
• At the Finance Department – during business hours (cash or card; a ticket will be provided)
• At Patient Registration – when Finance is closed (cash or card; a ticket will be provided)

Visitors who pay at Finance or Registration will receive a parking ticket to scan at the exit terminal instead of paying at the machine.

How Parking Works

1. When you enter the lot, the gate will open automatically. No ticket is required or provided at entry.

2. When you leave, pay using one of the options listed above.

   • If you pay at Finance or Registration, you’ll receive a ticket to scan at the exit terminal.

   • If you pay at the exit terminal, no ticket is required.

3. After payment at the terminal, you will be asked if you would like a receipt. Select “Yes” or “No.”

   • If you choose “Yes,” your receipt will print.

   • If you do not select either option, the machine will reset after a few moments.

4. Once payment is complete, the gate will open automatically.

It’s that simple.

Multi-Visit Passes

If you visit the hospital often, parking passes can help you save:

• 5-visit pass – $15.00
• 10-visit pass – $24.00
• 30-visit pass – $72.00

You can buy passes at the Finance Department on the main level.

If you still have old prepaid tokens, you can exchange up to 20 of them for new parking tickets at the Finance Department.
