West Haldimand General Hospital seeks new Board Members

February, 28, 2022 – West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) is interested in extraordinary individuals who are willing to help re-shape the future of health care in our communities and surrounding areas for the years to come.

“We are searching for a group of exceptional people who are willing to dedicate their time, energy, and knowledge to help us make a positive change to our health care system. Our Board of Directors is interested in volunteers committed to ensuring our hospital provides outstanding, quality patient and family-centered care,” said WHGH Board Chair, David Skye.

As a highly skilled-based Board, we are seeking to fill vacancies with interested volunteers who:

  • Share the hospitals’ values of Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
  • Commit to advocating for the advancement of the hospitals’ mission/purpose and values.
  • Willing to promote our vision and our Strategic Directions.
  • Commit the time required to perform Board and committee duties. The Board meets approximately eight times a year.
  • Enhance our public standing by actively promoting our mission and accomplishments and assist in building community partnerships.
  • Follow board policies, including those related to conflict of interest and confidentiality.
  • Organizational knowledge and capabilities in healthcare or legal services would be an asset.
