Parking lot repairs to begin this week

West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) would like to inform you about an upcoming project that will impact our parking lot, beginning Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Construction crews will begin the project by repairing a section of the sidewalk near the Health Care Centre, specifically between the parking gates and the front door. Throughout this period, access to the Health Care Centre’s front entrance will remain open.

Starting on November 16, the focus will shift towards fixing potholes throughout the parking lot. Certain areas might experience temporary closures for safety reasons. We kindly ask everyone to adhere to all signage and traffic controls in place.

The anticipated completion of the construction is set for November 24, 2023. In case of any unexpected delays, we’ll promptly communicate updates to keep you informed.

We want to assure you that these necessary maintenance activities will not impede parking. While occasional minor delays might occur due to moving trucks, parking will remain accessible throughout the process.

This maintenance project is crucial to ensure the safety and functionality of the parking lot. The current condition of the lot has deteriorated over time, making repaving necessary to maintain a secure and smooth parking area.
