Influenza A Outbreak declared over at West Haldimand General Hospital’s Inpatient Unit

(Thursday, December 1, 2022) – An influenza A outbreak on the Inpatient Unit (IPU) at West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) has been resolved.

The outbreak came to an end after enhanced monitoring of patients and staff showed there had been no evidence of further transmission and no new additional influenza A cases on the unit.

Thank you to our dedicated team for working tirelessly to bring this outbreak, which was declared on November 23, to a successful end.
