Infection Prevention and Control plays an important role in Health Care.

For IP&C purposes all visitors to the West Haldimand General Hospital are asked to wash their hands upon entering the hospital and after visiting a patient.

Visitors are also encouraged to only visit one patient per visit to the hospital.  Please do not go from one patient room to another.

The Just Clean Your Hands initiative is a newly created directive from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.  The symbol you see here, is the symbol representing this initiative.  Statistics show that by washing your hands, you decrease the spread of infection by  70  %.
